Since 1995 when Pathways was launched, our fees have increased by only 33 per cent corresponding to the rate of inflation in the UK. The cost of a complete Pathways program taken over 30 weeks is just 8 pounds per week, which represents excellent value for money. Fees are pegged at the present level for the foreseeable future. Pathways to Philosophy Programs

Pink application form

Each Pathways program consists of 15 units. The fee for one complete 15 unit Pathways program is 240 GBP. The fee for two complete Pathways programs is 400 GBP.

Associate Program

Green application form

The fee for the Associate program is 240 GBP. The fee for the Associate taken together with Pathways is 400 GBP for the two programs combined.

Fellowship Program

Green application form

The fee for the Fellowship program is 360 GBP. If you are taking your Fellowship either with Pathways or with the Associate, the fee for the two programs combined is 500 GBP. The fee for the Fellowship taken together with both Pathways and the Associate is 640 GBP.

University of London Diploma and BA in Philosophy

Details from London University

The London University Diploma in Philosophy consists of three modules plus a special introductory module. The London University BA in Philosophy consists of ten modules. Students who successfully complete the requirements for the Diploma in Philosophy can automatically transfer to the BA. You can apply for tutorial support from Pathways for up to two modules at a time.

Fees to the University of London:

Application handling: 63 GBP
Initial Registration: 598 GBP
Yearly registration for each year after your initial registration: 310 GBP
Examination fee for each module: 170 GBP

Fees to Pathways to Philosophy:

280 GBP for one module
460 GBP for two modules

The University of London examination regulations permit a maximum of three attempts for each module. If you fail a module for the first or second time, your Pathways fee covers extra tuition required to re-take that module.

Society Membership

Blue application form

Life membership of the International Society for Philosophers is free. The annual membership subscription for the Philosophical Society of England is 15 GBP. If you are a full-time student or retired, the membership subscription is reduced to 10 GBP.
