This form is for students applying for tutorial support from Pathways for the University of London External Programme leading to the London University Diploma in Philosophy and BA (Hons) in Philosophy.
The London University Diploma in Philosophy consists of three modules plus a special introductory module. The London University BA in Philosophy consists of ten modules. Students who successfully complete the requirements for the Diploma in Philosophy can automatically transfer to the BA. You can apply for tutorial support from Pathways for up to two modules at a time.
Depending on your choice of program, a suitable mentor will be selected for you. If you wish to have Geoffrey Klempner as your mentor, please email klempner@fastmail.net before you submit the form.
Please note that before you apply for tutorial support from Pathways, you must have a definite offer of a place on the External Programme from the University of London.
All students taking a Pathways program are invited to join the International Society for Philosophers. There is an option for open membership if you would like be contacted by other ISFP members. You are also invited to subscribe to the electronic journals Philosophy Pathways and Philosophy for Business, and observe/ participate in the Pathways online conference. If you wish to take advantage of any of these free options, please make your selections below.
The Pathways CD-ROM worth 12.50 GBP together with the 350,000 word e-text Philosophical Connections worth 20 GBP are free to all new Pathways students. If you would like a copy, please indicate below.
If you have already passed one or more modules of the Diploma or BA, we would welcome your input on the Ask a Philosopher expert panel. Panel members receive a weekly mailout of the lastest questions submitted on the Pathways web site. You are free to select any questions which interest you and which you have sufficient knowledge to answer.
